Developing the livestock industry can never be achieved by sole effort. Effective collaboration that recognizes the contribution of core value chain actors (farmers, produce buyers, processors and distributors) and support systems (research, advisory, regulations and policy arena) are paramount. Attainment of poverty eradication goals using the livestock industry as the engine of development can be accelerated through: Improving livelihoods and using efficient and modern technologies and management systems that address critical constraints on priority commodities according to Government recommendation stated in ASSP – MAAIF 2015.
